About NoxNoctis

This is a site for local airsoft news and developments. As airsoft begins to grow in Southern California, I have realized that this webpage cannot be reserved for just one group. As a result, NoxNoctis will be a site that provides the airsoft enthusiast with news, dates, and events within the Southern California area. NoxNoctis provides service for Replisoft, S.O.C.A.L., San Diego Airsoft, as well as individuals and other organizations and businesses.

NoxNoctis also realizes that airsoft is in its infant stages at this time. Airsoft's popularity, although fueled by many veterans and experienced players, will no doubt be comprised of a large group of newbies, or people that are new to the sport. NoxNoctis will maintain a Newbie section, that will provide tips, suggestions, and other valuable information that the newbie should concern himself with.

A Gun database with pictures is already up, and a review section is in the works. There will also be a Player's Place in the future, that will include player's quotes, thoughts, concerns, and other matters of the mind. A Tips and Tactics section will also be implemented, so please continue to check back often to see these exciting things develop!

About Airsoft

"What is airsoft?" Airsoft is a unique mixture of actual firearms, paintball, and BB guns. This very frequently asked question is often received with that definition. Believe it or not, airsoft is not a new sport. The game has been played in Asian countries for over a decade now, and has been especially active in Japan, Hong Kong, and the Philipines. Only very recently has airsoft made an appearance in the US.

The game of airsoft is played much in the same manner as paintball. Airsoft has its grounds on tactical and military movement and scenarios, so games like "Kill the leader", "Capture the flag", "Rescue the POW", or "Defend the Perimeter" are not uncommon. Games are often held on an outdoor field all day and sometimes through the evening, or an indoor field to simulate CQB (Close Quarters Battle) situations. However, unlike paintball, airsoft does not leave a tell-tale splatter of paint to indicate a hit. Although reaching speeds in excess of 400 fps (feet per second), players have no way of telling whether or not their shot was on target. This makes it very easy for player to cheat, which again illustrates the importance of integrity and honor in the game. Players are recommended to say "Hit!" after an acknowledged shot, then make a nice death scene to glorify your death. "Arrggghhhh, ohhhhh, ouuuuucccchhhhhh, plop" is much more fun than just "plop." Please see the Newbie page for more details

About the Webmaster

As with all my webpages, I just have to have a section devoted to just me, me, me. As humble as I am, I feel compelled to give a little of my background as reference for future friends and networks (hee hee). My name is Glenn and my call sign is NoxNoctis. I was formerly known as TripleStrike but felt that name didn't fit my person or style in any way at all. I prefer stealth and covert missions, and would play night games over day games anytime. NoxNoctis is Latin for "night" and I felt it fit better than TripleStrike. Plus I think it's a really cool, mysterious sounding name. I am 20 years old and a resident of San Gabriel. My airsoft experience includes numerous past skirmishes, learning a thing or two from Replisoft, personal trials and experimentations. One of my main interests is the US Armed Forces, especially special-ops teams like the Army Rangers, the Seal Team Six, or the Delta Force. It has been a childhood dream for me to become an Airforce pilot, commander of an F-18 or F-14, or practically any of the modern fighter jets for that matter. Airsoft has been a very recent addition to my list of hobbies because, c'mon, young men and guns are like peas in a pod. I have been a collector of BB guns for as long as I rememeber, and until airsoft came into my life, I was the owner of six BB guns, from the cheapo Daisy Repeater to the rather cool Anics A101 Magnum. My personal arsenal includes a Tokyo Marui electric M92, a Tokyo Marui Desert Eagle, a Tokyo Marui M9, a KSC Mk23 SOCOM, an MGC Glock18, A Western Arms M92F-S INOX, a Tokyo Marui MP5A5, a Tokyo Marui MC-51, and a Tokyo Marui mini Steyr-AUG. I hope to collect maybe one airsoft gun a quarter, with the permission of my lovely and beautiful and kind and understanding fiancé, of course. Whom I love with the utmost passion. Whom I desire with an undying flame. Whom I devote my life to. Please please please please please???
